The shade for this fixture was originally designed and produced by the Rockford Light Furniture Company, Rockford, Illinois after March 7, 1911 and before the company went bankrupt in 1916.  It appears to have had its original wooden mount replaced more recently.  The base is not original to this item but was likely produced between

circa 1920, USA Good vintage condition Mission style is a design that emphasizes simple horizontal and vertical lines and flat panels that accentuate the grain of the wood (often oak, especially quartersawn white oak). This movement became popular as people began looking for relief after the excesses of Victorian times and the influx of mass-produced furniture from the Industrial Revolution. The furniture maker Gustav Stickley produced Arts and Crafts furniture often referred to as being in the Mission Style, though Stickley dismissed the term as misleading. This was plain oak furniture that was upright, solid, and suggestive of entirely handcrafted work.
